When I have spoken to people who say "they don't care about politics" there's more times then not a deeper reason. The overwhelming majority of people that say this to me, I find are conservatives or right leaning. They hide their views, beliefs and values because they get badgered constantly. Whether they are gay, straight, bi, black, white, or Latin, because they are conservative, they are targeted.

What is the nonsense idea that everyone is great and a good person? It’s not hypocrisy I say a good person is good while not saying the same about people you either don’t like or don’t believe they are great.

Problem is, NOBODY should vote for the person they like or go get a beer with. I am sure AOC is a lovely woman, but EVERYONE should vote for the best person for the job, not the most likeable. That's where this got us. Celebrity candidates and career politicians - everyone with their own way of appealing to the public. Listen to what everyone says and does rather to their smile and campaign tricks.

What on earth are they talking about? When women or actors of color have been attacked by the mob, they've most definitely received lots of support. Not only from other actors, but from mainstream media outlets as well. Did they come out in defense of Pratt more than Brie Larson? Yeah. Maybe that's because 1) Brie already had every mainstream rag defending her, and 2) maybe they just like Pratt more. It's no secret that people don't care for Brie Larson, and it's no secret that anybody who has worked with Chris Pratt loves the guy. This is just insane "progressives" who want to cancel a guy for being Christian and assuming the worst of him. Which is ironic, because these are also the folks who scream about islamaphobia and are quick to support Muslims and condemn any stereotyping of Muslims...while holding Christianity against Christians. It's all pure hypocrisy. But then again these are the same people who got on their platforms and decried the horrors of Christ Church when Muslims were murdered by a nationalist, but didn't say a word when 200+ Christians were murdered by a Muslim extremist. It's all a bunch of hypocritical grandstanding. And don't get me wrong, the other side does it too. But it really annoys me when "progressives" do it, because they thump their chests daily about how much they believe in equality and equal treatment. Yet they clearly determine how much they care about something by a social hierarchy of victimhood status that they've clearly determined based on race, gender, religion, etc. I.E., they actively go about the world treating people and reacting to situations differently based on the demographics of the people involved, despite claiming that those traits don't matter and/or shouldn't determine how a person is treated. I've no love for the left or the right, for muslims or christians. I don't care what race you are, what religion you follow and what politics you believe in. So long as you are consistent and fair and a good person.

Coming from a long background of opiate addiction [still dealing with it even to this day] I find myself pretty depressed with the whole Purdue case. Those bastards have absolutely destroyed a massive percentage of American lives. They should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. If they are givin a slap on the wrist for such a travesty then that goes a long way to show just how fucked we really are. I hope to see some level of justice brought to them. There are many others like me still struggling in worse positions then I'm even in. We deserve some justice for a public company flooding our neighborhoods with pills.

You are saying not having a conversation of politics is only for the privileged...so free choice is not allowed in your eyes...Also what conversation? Conversation is a two way street where all can express...i see no openness in what you are saying...more like adding fuel to the fire of making people conform. If the views getting shared don't fall in line with the majority of pushers...well that person life gets destroyed. What you are seeing is the bullying into either silence, or worse, submission. Oh and by the way...you are a pompous ass.

I feel the difference between at least Chris and Brie has more to do with the fact that Chris is clearly a nice likeable person. And you can tell from all his cast mates and co-workers that they like him. While Brie is clearly not liked by anyone at marvel that she works with. Also, Brie has mostly be come off at times as confrontational - for good or ill. Where as Chris is getting hate for minding his own business. Which more celebrities should do.
