Great....more products to be sold out everywhere....joy You'd THINK that eventually supply would catch up to demand, but noooo. No matter what gets released, it's sold out instantly. I hope there's a market crash soon. Between the crypto miners and the scalpers, I'm hoping for a nice big hard crash. I likely still won't be able to get a new GPU, but at least I'll have the satisfaction of watching a broken system burn.
Just jumped to a gaming console(xboxseriesx), and I am keeping my pc( has 770). Couldn't buy a new graphics card for months, sadly.

It really annoys me this card has a 170W TDP, only 30W less than the 3060 Ti and more than the 1070's 150W.

What I would like to see is a standardized operating system for gamers with backwards compatibility for all former API iterations. I know it's a pipe dream because it gets in the way of the almighty dollar, but I can dream. With Microsoft basically being a real workhorse with their Xbox backwards compatibility and their silent endorsement of emulation via developer mode, there are great possibilities for gamers. Question is...where is the cutoff OS? I'd say for preservation of modern gaming start with XP and move forward. We have compatibility mode already, but it would be amazing if these modes were integrated via emulation or virtualization, or whatever means into a standalone OS just for gamers. Meh....what do I know?
R9 290x is still running fine, I'll pass.
I'm more than happy with my 2070 oc ventus edition card plays everything I want no issues . I will probably hold off for a long time on and upgrade. Glad I got my card last October when prices didn't sky rocket its more than double what I paid for the 2070 last October.

Not paying for the 3060 at its current pricetag. Here in NZ its$1100. (That is: $810 USD, $1020 Canadian Rubles or $1030 Dollarydoos for Australian viewers) Nowhere near the $329 reference. obviously it would be higher than that but its around 2.5X the reference price. i can get a 3060ti for only $50 NZD more

So should I get a 3070 or 60? The 70 is definitely pushing the limits with price (unless I can get the founders edition) But the 60 is only like $400.

in Russia 3090 starts at around $3500, 3070 starts at around $1500. 3060 will go for about $1200. so I don't think anyone will ever buy one.

I had the option to buy the MSI Gaming X version of this card. I was literally sitting in checkout, hovering my mouse over the "order" button, but ultimately decided not to buy it. Even though it's still in stock here (only God knows how), and I'm dying to upgrade, the 579,90 euros ($700) pricetag is not worth it for this card.

What is VA
1060 was $200 for the 3GB model and $250 for the 6GB model. The 3060 is $330.... The 1070 was $380. It's closer to being priced as a 70 series card than a 60 series.
I have not seen any proof that these fabled RTX 3K series cards even exist.
Related, but different, but I have a question. Now, I'm not a gamer (in fact the only game I play would probably be fine on a GT440), but I do use Blender, a lot. At the moment, I have dual GTX1070 8GB which work fine in tandem for both CUDA and Optix. Would I be better hanging on to them, or bunging them on Ebay (where they still command a premium, at the moment) and shelling out for a single RTX3070, or should I just sit on what I have at the moment? NB. Any potential profit/surplus is not a consideration. I'm only interested in render performance, and which would be best in Blender.
You can also use a metal mesh pencil holder to contain you smartphone when not it use.
