Very interesting video, thanks for sharing!! I have just one question, when I click at to top of the screen (My Media, Music, Titles...) when I click at Music, I see my complete iTunes library. How can I remove these, and just add and see the music from as example from Artlist? Thank you and keep up the good work! Best regards, Paul

David, working on my kids reading a children's book (Chester). During the story there is a spot where the cat draws a line with a marker. I would like to add in a sound effect inserted between the voices so that it goes reading, sound (with video paused), reading then continues. I have been struggling with a solution.

Started using iMovie a couple weeks ago and this was an excellent, thorough and easily understandable tutorial of all the features. And THANK YOU for what you said at 23:04 about the video not always playing back smoothly. I thought my computer processor was too slow, or my files were too large when this happens and it was frustrating me tremendously, so glad to know that's just a normal side effect that happens!

Very very clear video, thank you so much. Definitely helped my understanding. Here is a request for some additional info: an overview of how the content is organized. Where do you find your project? What is the library? What is an event? How do they work together? Where is the video saved in imovie once you have exported it? It is surprisingly unintuitive! I have subscribed to your channel, and look forward to watching more videos.

Loving this video. As someone who has recently taken on video editing as a little hobby, this kind of free information is really valuable. One thing I will add, that I do not believe David addresses, is to do with the 'Detach Audio' function. To my knowledge, one detached, audio cannot be 'reattached' and so if you did wish to work with both together once more, you will have to re-drag the original file back (if you find you're in a pickle with audio-video syncing for example).
